“Who’s Your Shepherd?”

THE BOTTOM LINE

“Who’s Your Shepherd?”

Psalm 23

My brothers and sisters in Christ:

The answer to my topic should be simple, but just in case it isn’t. I’ll provide the answer to you as it’s been shown to me through the word of God.

The 23rd Psalms is a passage we’re all familiar with and could probably cite it backwards word for word, but I’m going to try and show just in case you have a different Shepherd, just how wonderful my Shepherd is.

My Shepherd fulfills all my needs, therefore I want for nothing. When I’m lonely, he’s there! When I’m sad, he’s there! And when I need someone to talk to, he’s never to busy to talk with me!

When I’m down and out, he lifts me up! When I’m weak, he restores my soul!

Even though I have troubles and trials, guides me in the right direction!

My cup runs over with his abundance of love, grace and mercy!

Are you still wondering who this great Shepherd is?

You know when that fleshly person within us shows up and we don’t want to be nice to those who treat us bad. My Shepherd puts us back in the path of righteousness!

When we don’t want to love those who talk about us and use us, he guides our hearts to do what’s right!

When things seem to be forever going against us, his rod and staff comforts us!

My Shepherd is the best thing happening in my life! My Shepherd died for our sins!

If you have a different Shepherd than Jesus Christ! It’s time to change who you’re letting guide and comfort you.

The Lord is My Shepherd, and that’s “The Bottom Line.”

“What’s Your Excuse?”

The Bottom Line
“What’s Your Excuse?”
12-6-2009, 1st Sunday
Rev. Rubin E. Ancrum
Luke 12:15-24 (18)

God’s Blessing to you my Brothers and Sisters In Christ:
The subject speaks to us all this week. How often do we make excuses about attending church activities and services?
We come up with every excuse we can: I don’t have anything to wear; I don’t feel like it; I don’t have any money.
Rev. Ancrum gave us the answer to these excuses and that was, “God has made everything we need.” We’re already accepted, no excuses needed for God. “Just go.”
Are we preparing to attend the ultimate feast with God? God wants to spend time with his people. The table has been spread. Our God is a relationship God. What better relationship could we ask for? He’s forgiving, loving, caring, understanding and comforting.
Your invitation has already been spent by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, all you have to do is except it.
So, what’s your excuse now? Excuses are not accepted in the eyesight of God. God becomes angry at excuses.
Jesus didn’t have any excuses to save us from our sins, why should we. The table is spread, come to the feast no more excuses, and that’s “The Bottom Line.

The Bottom Line

The Bottom Line

My brothers and sisters:
As we begin the year 2010, we must leave 2009 behind us and go forward and walk in a new anointing.

The only thing we should do about 2009 is thank God for letting us see the end of that year and letting us begin another year.

As for me, I’m going to use the phrase “with God we win in 2010!”

We should always make the best of all situations and trust and believe that God will see us through it all no matter the circumstance or situation.

We must and should do what we say we’re going to do. Our actions have to speak louder than our words.

There has just been too much talk about what we want for our church and our leader and not enough action.

Let’s make this the year we put all our words into action. We have too much talent and knowledge in this church. We can do better than we are, if everyone would be the solution and not the problem.
We can go farther together than we can divided. With God we win in 2010, and that’s “The Bottom line”.
