“What’s Your Excuse?”
12-6-2009, 1st Sunday
Rev. Rubin E. Ancrum
Luke 12:15-24 (18)
God’s Blessing to you my Brothers and Sisters In Christ:
The subject speaks to us all this week. How often do we make excuses about attending church activities and services?
We come up with every excuse we can: I don’t have anything to wear; I don’t feel like it; I don’t have any money.
Rev. Ancrum gave us the answer to these excuses and that was, “God has made everything we need.” We’re already accepted, no excuses needed for God. “Just go.”
Are we preparing to attend the ultimate feast with God? God wants to spend time with his people. The table has been spread. Our God is a relationship God. What better relationship could we ask for? He’s forgiving, loving, caring, understanding and comforting.
Your invitation has already been spent by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, all you have to do is except it.
So, what’s your excuse now? Excuses are not accepted in the eyesight of God. God becomes angry at excuses.
Jesus didn’t have any excuses to save us from our sins, why should we. The table is spread, come to the feast no more excuses, and that’s “The Bottom Line.
